Commercial and civil litigation
Unfortunately at times life can take a turn where, for whatever reason, businesses and/or individuals become embroiled in disputes that can become legal and technical and upon which you require expert assistance. For example, you may need help with deciding whether you should start court proceedings or whether you should try to resolve it by some other method available to you that may not have been considered before, such as mediation or arbitration. We can assist you in discussing the options available to you and the best course of action to take in light of the circumstances presented to us at that time.
We can provide help for the following litigation services:
- Commercial litigation including contract/building disputes
- Neighbour disputes
- Cohabitee/property disputes
- Contentious probate matters involving Wills
- Boundary disputes
- Residential possession/disrepair of properties for landlord/tenant
- Debt recovery.
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
We can help you to try and resolve your dispute without going to court. ADR is a useful method available to parties who do not wish court intervention and would prefer to explore a more speedier and cost effective alternative to resolve their matter. There are a number of methods available such as negotiation, mediation, arbitration. We can assist you in that process and if you wish, (depending upon your matter) can also accompany you to such an appointment. The end result could lead to a preservation of relationships and/or reputations.
In the event that, for whatever reason, your dispute is unable to be resolved, we will help to bring your case to court; advise you of the risks involved; the likelihood of success, and estimate of costs that may be incurred based on the information presented to us at that time.
Whatever the case, our solicitors have considerable experience as litigators in the areas listed on this page. We will listen to your problem and offer advice which is specific to your reaching your objective, if not as close to it as possible.
